This man should have stayed an academic, he is not aware of the world around him.
This is the 5th or 6th time he has made a gaffe.

Any leader in any field would have resigned after the second or third gaffe. He has earned without doubt the royal order of the boot with his father Christmas  garb included.
He may be a feeble old man (  I doubt it)  and I must also admit we get what we deserve.

But surely he is surrounded by qualified advisers, who also seem to think they inhabit a different planet.

Perhaps, before this man speaks publicly he should talk to ordinary people as a sounding board.

It must also be noted that millions of Catholics  accept this man’s words as DOGMA,  although this is not the case.

The damage he can cause is truly enormous.

Good grief, Bush Blair, Pope Benedict, Lieberman etc. etc., what have we done to deserve this?

What are they members of the Salvation Army? They may not have started out as murderers, hardly anybody ever does, yet this is what they became. Please no excuses, this is what’s wrong with America and a large part of the West. It’s always somebody else’s fault. We never want to accept responsibility for our actions. UNLAWFUL ORDERS CAN AND SHOULD BE DISOBEYED! Remember Nuremberg? Please don’t forget a very unfashionable word CONSCIENCE.

America, you have been governed by criminals.

Were these people criminally insane or just plain criminals?
This is a complex question, yet you see in American movies and TV programmes, issues constantly being resolved by violent means. It begs the question are Americans violent per se or have they been conditioned to act this way by their own traditions such as the Wild West, glamourising the Mafia and the Hollywood machine.
This merits a deep Analysis. I am not sure I would like the result.
Yet we are all in certain ways responsible since we do not condemn these people outright.
We hide behind words like freedom, liberty, democracy and such like,
Let’s get rid of the whole stinking lot and put them behind bars.
Everybody is scared of telling the truth.

Just today in the Times there was a story that its leaders, a three star admiral named [William H.] McRaven, ordered a stop to it because there were so many collateral deaths.
